President
Gary Berntsen served for twenty-three years in the Clandestine Service of the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Berntsen served as a CIA Chief of Station during three separate assignments in the Middle East and Latin America. Mr. Berntsen also led CIA's major counterterrorist deployments in East Africa following the attacks on the U.S. Embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam and led CIA's largest paramilitary team during the 2001 liberation of Afghanistan. Mr. Berntsen was awarded CIA's Distinguished Intelligence Medal and Intelligence Star. He is also the recipient of the first William F. Buckley award for leadership in Intelligence. Mr. Berntsen is the author of the bestselling book "Jawbreaker" - The Attack on Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda: A Personal Account By The CIA's Key Field Commander.
Vice President
Thomas Telles is the Vice President of the Berntsen Group. Mr. Telles served for 34 years as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the Department of Justice and retired as a member of the Senior Executive Service. Mr. Telles served throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean managing major operations. Mr. Telles has significant experience in investigating narcotics and human trafficking, kidnap/ransom and intellectual property cases.
Chief of Operations
Arnold Gerardo is the Chief of Operations for the Berntsen Group. Mr. Gerardo served with both the FBI and U.S. Customs Service. While with the FBI, he served as a special agent, supervisory special agent and program manager in investigations dealing with kidnapping, extortion, domestic and international terrorism and organized crime. Mr. Gerardo was also the program manager for the skyjacking program at FBI headquarters. Mr. Gerardo retired as the Associate Special Agent in charge of the U.S. Customs office in San Diego, California. Since 2000, Mr. Gerardo has been a consultant in kidnap/ransom and extortion cases as an associate of Kroll and Associates, Clayton Consultants and Henderson Group Limited (HRL). Mr. Gerardo is an international expert on Kidnap and Ransom matters and trained the national forces of several entities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Barbra Nixon is the Chief Financial Officer of the Berntsen Group. She has 25 years experience in both public and private accounting, and is responsible for all domestic and overseas financial operations.
