About Gary Berntsen
Gary Berntsen spent more than twenty years as an officer in the Clandestine Service and served in an array of Field Command assignments.
During the course of his career, he was privileged to serve as a CIA Station Chief on three separate occasions and led many of CIA's most important counterterrorism deployments including the United States' response to the East Africa bombings and the 9/11 attacks.
He is the recipient of CIA's Distinguished Intelligence Medal and the Intelligence Star.
